Premier is looking for a proven and motivated Java Architect to join our growing development team in Charlotte, NC. We are looking for a go-to Technical Architect who can be instrumentally involved in the forward evolution of our systems.
This team primarily focuses on developing GPO systems utilized by our membership as well as internal operations teams.
As a Java Architect, you will take on the challenge of migrating our current technology platform to the newest version of Java. You will work with our development team to design new or enhanced software products and developing technical roadmaps for our system evolution to push the boundaries for what technology can do to advance healthcare.
Our Charlotte team is a progressive DevOps environment and primarily a Java shop utilizing Java and various database and UI technologies.

The Senior Cloud Engineer will design, implement, secure, and manage private and public cloud infrastructure. Collaborates with development leads and architects to ensure cloud-native workloads are deployed according to IT best practices for security, governance, identity and access management, and monitoring. Collaborates with infrastructure leads and architects to ensure the high levels of resilience (failover, workload balancing, backup & recovery, disaster recovery, vulnerability management) in all cloud environments. Responsible for overall strategy for moving all applications to cloud-native platforms. Integrates cloud compute environments with traditional data center services. Maintains a keen market awareness of cloud platform alternatives and differentiators to communicate a rationalized Cloud roadmap. Provides project leadership for requirements gathering, design, planning, coordination, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to the Premier computing environment. Serves as an escalation point for troubleshooting problems, and the rapid restoration of production service incidents. Leads project teams and works closely with internal and external customers and vendors to provide proposals and supporting analysis for operational improvement and ongoing project requirements. Possesses an enterprise view of the business environment and the business applications running on the systems being managed. Provides day-to-day guidance and coaching to cross-functional team members, Engineers, Administrators and Associates. Major Accountabilities:

Responsibilities:
Working closely with cross functional teams, product owners, SMEs, enterprise architects, software engineers, manage and prioritize the product backlog, participate in Release Planning, Sprint Planning,
Backlog Refinement, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review/Demo, Sprint Retrospective.
Proactively identify impediments and dependencies and work with cross functional teams to resolve
Ensures all documentation, tracking and reporting metrics including user stories, project progress, resource utilization, change requests, issues resolution, risk mitigation plans, test scripts, test results, and status update are completed per the delivery timelines.
Lead and facilitate Integration, Solution, and UAT testing.
Create, monitor, and share team performance metrics, including preparing related progress reports.
Manages project plan and tracks project progress including dependencies, constraints, assumptions and risks
Escalates risks, resource gaps and delays as needed to ensure project stays on track
Lead daily Scrum and weekly Scrum of Scrum meetings to compile project status updates, updating project plan and removing obstacles and roadblocks for project team members
Encourage velocity, quality, and efficiency while adhering to coding, quality assurance, and project execution best practices.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or related STEM-discipline.
5years of hands-on Technical Project Management experience from initiation through planning, executing, controlling and closing of Enterprise projects.
5 years of experience with requirements gathering, technical workshops facilitation, WBS creation, project planning, work prioritization, gap analysis, risk mitigation, project execution, and on time delivery.
5 years of hands-on Agile/Scrum implementation experience.
5 years of business analysis and documentation of business requirements – functional and non-functional.
3 years of software engineering and application integration experience.
5 years of Quality Assurance experience, including leading UAT, Solution and Integration testing.
5 years of experience with hyper support, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and production support experience.
5 years of customer facing experience, including managing at least 5 projects simultaneously with multiple development teams in each project using SCRUM
